Sadly, it's so. The last Maverick episode was on Dec. 30. Cheyenne and the Virginian are gone, too. And it looks like Bret Maverick and Cimarron Strip are gone from Encore Western's Saturday lineup.
Maverick is on Saturdays on Retroplex, if you get that. Unfortunately, I don't.
Used to be able to watch it on Netflix Watch Instantly. Some episodes, anyway. Now it's not available at all (save as a Save option). Someone must have decided not to renew the syndication license. Shame - good series.
shareOdds are they are getting ready for a DVD release, which has been promised for years. The best thing for that....Make an exit with them wanting more......
Besides, Encore has been running them for years. You mean, you haven't recorded them all by now ???

Haven't bought a dvd in a while, but I might spring for a Maverick box set. Great series.
Netflix and STARZ couldn't come to a renewal agreement on their contract so the old ones have been expiring. As they have done so streaming content is being removed from their menu. HAVE GUN WILL TRAVEL expired on 2/28/2012, for example.
As Netflix loses content it becomes less valuable to us as customers. Call them and tell them you're unhappy with the service change. I did so and I changed my membership as well.
It comes and goes. It's on again these days.
