The Miraculous Anachronistic Zipper

In the episode, "Plunder in Paradise," Ruta Lee's dress is fastened with a zipper, and not with buttons or tapes, as it should have been. The zipper didn't come into common usage until after the 1930s, well into the 20th century.

A great episode, but I found that funny, to be sure.

That's a real obvious gaffe someone should have caught.

In an episode on Encore Westerns this week, Maverick and some townspeople had bank robbers escaping through a side door in a crossfire, Maverick on one side of the doorway, the townspeople on the other. Of course, if any of their bullets had missed their mark, they would have hit each other!

ROFL!! I always find it funny, even today, that Our Hero can be missed by a fusillade of bullets from a dozen Bad Guys, and yet he drops them all, while running, with a single shot.

Regarding the zipper...in an episode of Wild Wild West (the show, not Will Smith's dumb movie) Artie is buttoning the top back of a woman's dress who has an injured arm and can't do it herself. It takes him time to do up the buttons, (he sticks out his tongue and everything, lol!) but when he's done and she turns around...she has a zipper! ROTFLOLOL!!!
