It's on now
Anyone else watching?

I'm Jewish and this is the first time that I can remember it being broadcast at a different time than Passover. Usually it puts me right in the mood for the holiday. I guess it's on a different time this year because Passover and Easter don't coincide like they usually do. But they should show King of Kings on Easter and this movie on Passover.
There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophy.
I watch it every year too. Can recite every line haha. They don't make them like this anymore!!
I'm sorry if the truth offends you - Rhett Butler
Watching for at least 40 years and watching right now! Nothing like it! Enjoy!
shareWatching it too! Love the Ten Commandments!
shareYes...watching it now..an annual event. I remember seeing this movie in a theater when it first came out..I was 13...strange that they are showing the movie the day before Easter instead of Passover..unless they will rerun it next month. Only thing ruining the movie are those darn commercials. I don't think I'll make it to the ending(12:45AM). They usually start the movie at 7:00..good thing I know how it ends.
shareIt is rarely shown on Easter. I like it better being on Saturday.
shareI remember ABC not broadcasting it in 1999 (the network reported that it would affect the broadcast of its shows. To paraphrase TV GUIDE's "Cheers and Jeers" response: "Yeah, couldn't wait for that PRACTICE rerun."), so I watched the VHS instead.
shareIt was shown on Easter Sunday for more than 30 years, they then moved it to Saturday and apparently got better ratings so they kept it there.
shareI like it better on Saturday. You?
shareNo....When they showed it on Sunday it started at 7:00PM and ended at 11:45. Tonight it started at 8 and won't be finished until 12:45 AM...way too late for me to stay up. the movie is only 231 minutes long without commercials. At least I know hoe it ends.
shareIt always starts at 7pm where I am.
shareSaturday night is better because people can stay up late to watch it and not have to worry about getting to work the next day. When I was a kid and it was shown on Sunday, I couldn't stay up to watch the whole thing because it was a school night.
shareYeah, I get it. But, I am 73 and need my beauty sleep(LOL). I just can't sit through 4 hours and 45 minutes watching the movie. I may make it to midnight(LOL).
shareYou can do it. Have a few cups of Maxwell House and make some brownies. Stay up at least till Heston parts the Red Sea. So it is written, so it shall be done!
sharean update..I fell asleep after the 10th plague and woke up when the red sea parted. I think it was around 12:20 am(LOL). I think the only way that I would be able to see the entire movie at one time is to just buy the DVD.
sharethe commercials, goodness - they were so awful, one rush job after another - I had to look away and use the mute button every break
I never think about the future, it comes soon enough
