I love the scene where Orsen Welles enters the church and climbs into the pulpit in the shape of the deck of a ship. I know this is probably taken from the book, but I was wondering if any churches in whaling communities actually had this feature?
shareThere is a church in Belfast, Northern Ireland, the 'Sinclair Seamen's Church' which has a pulpit in the shape of a ship's prow just like in this movie.

This pulpit is much smaller than the one in the movie and lower to the ground.
