I seriously hope for a remake of Moby Dick with a theatrical release with better special effects and actors. Here are my ideas for a cast:
Captain Ahab - Hugh Laurie, Robert Englund, Tobin Bell Ishmael - Shia LeBouf, Christian Bale, Daniel Radcliffe Starbuck - Tom Hanks Stubb - Gerard Butler Flask - Norman Reedus Fedallah - Ben Kingsley
What's the point in listing actors? The ONLY purpose these days in doing remakes of films like this is strictly for the CGI special effects. The actors, the writing, the dialogue are all utterly meaningless.
No one today starts with the idea: "hey, we should remake this film because we can cast it better, write it better, act it better, direct it better..."
It's just an excuse to pour their talentless CGI out of a can like paint.
Daniel Day-Lewis as Captain Ahab would be the single greatest thing ever committed to the big screen, assuming it is a faithful adaptation of the novel, and not the bastardized, masturbatory version they've got planned for 2011.

Wow, that has got to be the worst list I've ever seen. And I've seen som pretty sh#tty ones.
