'..You're wrong N word'

Woah I didn't see that coming from a 1950 movie caught me off guard, was this the first mainstream Hollywood film to use that word ?

"The stuff that dreams are made of."

I can't answer that question, but, on that topic, it feels like that type of response ensures his fate. He draws attention; arguing over the suitcase draws attention and pops the bubble of planning.

He was trying to get the attendant to leave him alone, you know, so he could shoot the horse in privacy.

And a new euphemism for masturbation is born.

I loved the movie! I thought it was well-made; I enjoyed the style in which the story was told; and I'm glad all the crooks got what was coming to them.

Like you, I thought they drew too much attention to themselves; the shooter by calling the attendant the 'N' word, the policeman claiming his radio was on the fritz, the oversize suitcase, etc. but that wasn't the main problem.

What really did them in, the core group, was when Peatty told his wife about the plan. Had that not happened, her lover, Val, and his partner would not have shown up so there would have been no shooting. Had the others not been killed there would not have been a need for such a big suitcase; which means Johnny would have slipped away without incident.

Woman, man! That's the way it should be Tarzan. [Tarzan and his mate]
