He planned everything so well but blew it with the old pawn shop suitcase and not knowing he couldn't carry a large bag on board of a plane. Those were very important aspects of the robbery so that part wasn't very believable IMO.

He had 5 times as much money as he planned. He took the instrument case to the meeting. That was what he planned to put the money in and then carry on the plane. He was screwed when he had to improvise. I wonder why even bother flying. Would be better to just drive slowly until you hit another country.
