Did anybody notice PSYCHO has two links to this movie by coincidence. Cotten and Fleming play Sam and Lila which are the same names as John Gavin and Vera Miles. George Eldredge, who plays the police chief, is one of the town officials in the mext to last scene where Simon Oakland explains everything. Eldredge appeared in several serials as did Sam Flint who also in the scene. Another familiar face is Arthur Space.

shareI had never seen the film until the other day and enjoyed. It's interesting how Boetticher takes the story of the villain seeking vengeance for the death of his wife and inverts it a few years later for some of his Randolph Scott films.
One piece of offbeat casting is Australiac actor Michael Pate as one of the detectives. Pate had a classic face and was often cast as Indians. I think the last time I saw him was in the 3rd Mad Max movie.
Not to mention a stalking murderer dressed as a woman!
