Pods from Invasion vs. The Thing. Who would win?
They both assimilate and mimic people. I think the Thing would win. Or maybe they'd just ignore each other, since the pods start out as plants.

The Thing is just too violent and destructive.
The only way the Pod aliens could win is if they took over enough of the world to control its nuclear arsenal and simply nuked the *Things* into oblivion.
