Tough decisions

It is a cute story but hard to believe. I hate war but sometimes you have to defend your property or family. Feeding the enemy so they can stay strong and kill your neighbors is a tough decision. I guess you will not know until you are tested,

Once you family or property is threated, those religious convictions go right out the window and all you want to do is blow the offending party away.

reply

Religious convictions don't have to necessarily go out the window when family or property are threatened. I never understood 'thou shall not kill' to mean we could not defend ourselves, our families, and others.

Woman, man! That's the way it should be Tarzan. [Tarzan and his mate]

Eliza didn't feed the enemy so they could kill her neighbors. She gave them what they wanted (except the goose) to appease them so they would move on without burning her house and barn.
