Hollywood would totally F.... it up. The commander would be black and he would get involved with the white Alteria. The second in command would be a female and the doctor would be a black female. The executive officer and the doctor would be having a lesbian affair. The alcoholic cook would remain a white male - can't have any blacks in a menial job!

If the OP is a racist, count me in. The left has rendered the term meaningless, anyway. If "Forbidden Planet" were remade today, it would probably be fucked up in exactly the ways the OP described.
