Anyone know where this was filmed?

The link below says Indio, which is not too far south of Palm Springs but a lot less expensive to live in. I'm watching the movie now and my guess is that the some of the palm trees are date palms . Indio is famous for its date palms but residential and recreational development is impinging on the groves.

In the Trivia section of this film, it says they filmed in Palm Springs for its non-union workers.
