Now explain yourself.

Okay. Christine's alive and Rhoda's gone. What do the Penmarks say now? How do things play out? You can answer the question with either scenario:

1. Rhoda's body is obliterated by lightning such that no one knows what happened to her.

2. Rhoda's body is found in the water.

I am going with the second scenario and Christine will never tell the truth about Rhoda to her husband because it would be too painful for him. I dont know how she will explain her actions though. The only person she will confide in about Rhoda Wil be her father. Even though Christine knows why Rhoda went out to the pier she of course won't tell anybody. It will just be a big mystery.

I think she will tell him. Otherwise it would be too painful, having to live with 1) the knowledge that his wife tried to murder his daughter and 2) his daughter's death.

I think she'll also tell the truth to the Dagles (to give Mrs. Dagle some peace of mind that might decrease her dependence on alcohol) but in confidence and in a way that prevents Mrs. Dagle from proving anything to the police.

Then I think both couples might eventually adopt a child.
