We never did find out what happened to Kirk Anderson and Samantha Markum, did we? All we were left with was a shot of a picnic basket by a tree, and Kirk and Samantha nowhere to be found. Does anyone else remember that? I don't think they were ever mentioned again. I always thought that eventually, we'd find out where they went or at least what happened to them.

This was one of my peeves with the show.
Kirk Anderson was my favorite ATWT character. In my opinion he was the best addition to the show in it's last twenty five years.
What really annoyed me was that they had Tom Wiggin on Guiding Light in 2008 just before it was cancelled. They could have easily had him on ATWT instead and resolved the Kirk and Samantha storyline.
I guess we can assume that James Stenbeck did in fact do them in.
I thought I was the only one who remembered that. It's dumb how often I think of them and their disappearance. They were having a romantic picnic, and then nothing. (Except...I thought the picnic spread was abandoned on a dock at the marina. It's been so long and I'm starting to forget details.)
shareI remember them. She was the quirky sis of Lucinda...the artist and I also remember something about him on a boat...explosion? Yes, I had hoped that they would have returned to tie that up. Now all I see her on is commercials.
