..anyone else having audio problems with the radio programmes on the first disc....maybe it's just my machine, but there are far too many drop outs and fades...if they went through all that trouble on the film restorations, why not do the same with the radio shows?

I've heard that better quality copies of the "Harry Lime" radio shows exist, but they were obviously not used by Criterion. It is not the fault of your copy; all copies of the new box set feature the same horrible sound on the radio shows.
