Anyone else notice Vic Morrow (Wes)'s lewd gesture with the coke bottle at the beginning? He had a lot of bad guy roles, but he also played the hero in "Combat". Too bad about the Twilight Zone thing; that movie sucked and wasn't worth dying for.

Yes, I noticed Morrow's Coke bottle gesture when I first saw the film in a theater in 1955. For several minutes after the scene, I wasn't sure if I actually saw what I thought I saw. The scene was so shocking to me that I stayed for the second showing just to watch it again (no luxury of a DVR back then). To this day, I am still amazed the bottle scene was actually shown back then. Today, such a scene would not shock anyone, but it was pretty stern stuff back then.
