Rock N Roll Facts
OK...there have been some users posting comments on here about rock and roll, based on the soundtrack of this movie. Although, I think It's an interesting topic, I believe that many of these posts have been incorrect or irrelevant to the discussion of the topic. I thought I would elaborate on some of the discussion that have been taking place here on this board...
#1 First Rock N Roll soundtrack for A MOTION PICTURE
Notice how I said motion picture. There were probably other features or whatever that featured rock music, but this is the first documented case, or most recognized movie to feature such music for the first time. We know that the Bill Haley & the Comets song is basically the only rock song in the movie, but that still makes it a soundtrack.
#2 Where did Rock N Roll come from
Some posters on here have just been acting like morons when it this toppic has been brought up. When everyone thinks Rock N Roll, they think Elvis-like most of the posters on this board. I personally have always disliked Elvis, and I feel that he in fact deserves no recognition when it comes to R N R history. Basically, he is a candyass. That being said, history shows that R N R was coined by Disc Jockey Alan Freed. If you haven't heard of Alan Freed and you consider yourself a music lover, then SHUT UP! Alan Freed has hardly been recognized by anyone. He coined the term, he promoted the music, and he had to put up with much more crap from the public. Look him up. Or watch the movie 'American Hot Wax.'
