I think the street used for filming is called "Colonial Street" where "Desparate Houswives" (Wisteria Lane) is filmed. I can see "The Munster's" house in the background. A couple of years later, "Leave It To Beaver" came on the scene. Is Cary's house the Cleaver house? Cary has a front porch and balconey on her house, but I think it's the same facade, isn't it?
I am trying to find out for years where the watermill is located as it doesn't look like a studio watermill at all.
shareI'm not sure that the mill ever existed other than just a portion of the façade. They always go to a wide shot to show the whole building, including the wheel and it's always looked like a matte painting to me, just the left side. Notice how the cars and characters never cross to the left.
I'm sure the interiors are pure soundstage.
