The theme song

On September 29 or 30, 2018 I learned that the theme song to the Life and Legend of Wyatt Earp TV series was not exactly the way I remembered it.

I remember the chorus as:

Wyatt Earp, Wyatt Earp, bold, courageous and brave,
Long live his name, and long live his fame, and long may his legend prevail.

And I made up a parody of the chorus:

Wyatt Earp, Wyatt Earp bald, contagious, and a knave,
Short live his name, and short live his fame, and short may his legend prevail.

And I also parodied the line:

the legend of Wyatt forever will live on the trail

as:

The legend of Wyatt for never will live on the trail.

But it turns out that the chorus of the song is actually:

Wyatt Earp, Wyatt Earp,
Brave courageous and bold.
Long live his fame and long live his name
and long may his story be told.

It turns out that I also remembed part of the theme song of Maverick wrong.

One part I remembered as:

Saint Louis to New Orleans
Living on Jackson Queens
Luck is the lady that he loves the best
Maverick is a legend of the west..

And I always wondered who Jackson Queens was and why he supported the Mavericks.

But it is actually

Luck is the lady that he loves the best
Natchez to New Orleans
living on jacks and queens
Maverick is a legend of the west
