Are shows being shown in order of original broadcast?

This question is in reference to the character of Bat Masterson going from one of Wyatt's deputies to Marshal of another town and back to Wyatt's Deputy?????

What's up with that???

Bat Masterson was Ford County Sheriff while Wyatt Earp was Town Marshall of Dodge City. Bat`s office was across the street (Dodge City was County Seat of Ford County). They are being shown in broadcast order, but not in order of when they were filmed, so the continuity is broken up somewhat. In "Wyatt Fights", Bat is referred to as Wyatt`s deputy. In the next aired episode, the one where two crooks try to muscle in and take over the Long Branch from Luke Short, Bat resigns as County Sheriff and is hired by Wyatt to be one of his deputies.
