The casting
When I saw the episode that finally had the famous Gunfight at O.K. Corral, I realized how much I disliked the casting.
Rayford Barnes as Ike Clanton (Very bad choice}
Norman Alden as Johnny Ringo (Very terrible choice)
William Phipps as Curly Bill Brocius (Terrible)
Douglas Fowley as Doc Holliday (Didn't care for him as Doc. Far from the best, but not the worst. The worst ever casting for Doc Holliday was Victor Mature)
Hugh O'Brian as Wyatt Earp (While he was good on this TV show, he was far from my favorite Wyatt Earp portrayed. Burt Lancaster wasn't my favorite. Kurt Russell was always my favorite. But I would take Lancaster over O'Brian. Didn't buy O'Brian as Earp. Especially without the mustache)
My biggest problem with the casting for these parts was that none of these guys looked like or came across believable as the men they were playing. My least favorite of all was Johnny Ringo. I never bought Alden as Ringo. Not for a minute. To tell you the truth, I didn't buy any of these actors as the men they were playing. I also can't understand why none of these actors, with the exception of Fowley, wore a mustache. Not even Earp had one and that always bothered about the movie Gunfight at the O.K. Corral.
