Another 30 minutes not in the movie?

Don't mind the Subject Title. No one would reply, so I hope it's not because fans of this film hate the MST3K version.

Now I've only seen Mystery Science Theater 3000: The Movie, but I've been thinking about picking up the regular version, I saw the DVD pretty cheap at Best Buy.

What're the scenes not featured in MST3K? It was 55 minutes of footage, but the rest? I know of the laser destroying the book was skipped for some reason.

Thats everything that was cut from MST3K version

Thanks for that link. I'm glad someone went to the trouble of compiling that list. Wow! 25 minutes cut- almost a third of the movie!

I agree with that reviewer's opinions of whether each cut was good or bad, except for the first 3:17 of cuts. He says it was mostly unnecessary scenes, while I believe it went a long way toward establishing the mystery of the unknown alien technology.

You never see the Zagones in the MST3K verison.

I wonder what the Zahgons look like anyway...?

Im not sure if you see them. You do see their ships guiding the asteroids toward metaluna and exeters ship destroying the Zagon asteroids and ships with its cannons.

You're right, you don't, even in the full proper movie, which, by the way, is excellent. I paid about fifteen dollars for my DVD from Amazon, and even without any good extras, it was well worth it.
