I always thought a remake would be nice

A remake of this classic would be incredible. One can only hope, but in the meantime, why doesn't Universal release a remastered version of the original on Blu-ray for god's sake?

Depends on what they do with it. Would the aliens look the same, would their motivations be the same, and so forth. I'm don't think one has to happen, but I'd probably see it if it did.
