Thanks for the heads up, ms- zanadu.

It's been many many years since I saw this one, but as I remember, it's pretty good.

Long live the Brain Mutant!

Love this movie.. it is no 'War of the Worlds' (1953) but it comes in near the top of 1950's Color Sci Fi movies.
Svengoolie just makes it a much more interesting night. 

You can watch the MST3k version on Netflix. Much better.
(just ignore the hokey host segments)

It's a decent movie. I've seen it before. It's worth watching more than once.

Hello young lady, I wasn't too sure if I'd seen this before but after a few minutes, I have not. It actually looks pretty good so far.

Anyway, I hope all is well with you and yours and I'll TTYL.

Where did you find the Svengoolie schedule? My local tv station does not list the movie being shown.

I should have read your reply before I regurgitated the website thing. Sorry bro.

I know this Q wasn't directed towards me but I'll throw in my $0.02 worth: I watch Svengoolie on MeTV. We have AT&T UVERSE and they have a GUIDE button on the remote that displays the current show as well as all the channel's (we have a bunch) and their current shows. I guess you could also go to Sven's website to see what movies are coming up.

Anyway, sorry for being presumptuous but I hope it helps.

Faith Domergue won the wet t-shirt contest just before the commercial break.

I probably shouldn't have noticed, though. I'm old enough to remember when a pair of boobs was a couple of dumb guys.

I think it was Sven who mentioned that she couldn't wear any underwear because her pants were so tight. I think that's a bunch of hooey. She may not be wearing anything underneath but her pants are far from being too tight. It was probably just a studio ploy to raise the sex appeal of the movie. That's my story and I'm sticking to it! 

Although I would have preferred viewing this movie on TCM, I too watched it on Svengoolie last night and found his statement to be unjustified as well.

Maybe back in the 1950's a wet shirt and x-rays revealing a woman’s body was titillating to the audience, but nothing to warrant Sven's comment. Maybe, like you said, a network tease to keep us viewers watching. Because it wasn't really holding my interest.

And Ms Domergue‘s screen presence (and acting) was nothing like Anne Francis in Forbidden Planet, or Julie Adams in Creature From The Black Lagoon.

BTW: don't know how I could have missed seeing this movie all these years, as this was my first viewing. I have been eager to see it ever since reading about it in the book Classic Science Fiction Films. Quite disappointed though. IMO - nowhere near being a true classic. Not cheesy or funny enough to be so bad, it's good. Good for only one viewing to complete your 1950’s sci-fi checklist.
