Didn't anyone notice that when Ruth got into the elevator after dinner she was wearing an off-the-shoulder white dress, and once they got down to the lab she was wearing something entirely different? It must have inspired the producers of TV's Batman to create the costume-changing batpoles!

Looks like the same dress to me: white with sparkly things on the skirt, and two pins or brooches near her left shoulder. The continuity is correct, from dinner to elevator to Neutron the cat and the lab. Either you dozed off for a while, or you were watching one of those Taiwanese imports.
