When Peterson is in the sewer he reports brood odor, just like in the nest in New Mexico, but in New Mexico he was only in the nest when it was full of cyanide gas, and he was wearing a gas mask. Could he smell anything in there besides the inside of the gas mask?
BRUTE ODOR, Acids could penetrate gas masks of that time.
shareThey had no gas masks on when they were right outside the nest. I don't think the smell would stop directly at the entrance to the nest. Couldn't he have smelled it right before he descended into the nest, right before he put his mask on?
