Can anybody confirm this? I was going to submit it as a goof

*Spoiler alert* When the police are shooting it out with one of the accomplices on the street the assassins can hear the gunshots from the house. Earlier though, when the sheriff and the secret service agent originally discover the assassins in the house and they shoot it out, the gunshots at the house are not heard by the police.

Otherwise it was a pretty good movie(considering when it was made). I think they should have waited to let the tension build when everything was set up for the hit. If they had let that part of the move stretch a bit longer then the tension would have built well.

I thought the use of those tommy guns was funny.

If it were to be made today I'm sure the legitimacy of shooting the president would have stretched into quite a political diatribe

John Baron walks to the window, looks at a passing freight train, walks back, and says, "The train muffled it." No one at the train station notices the gunfire coming from the house, but, without the noise from any passing trains, gunfire in the streets is heard from the house.

Yeah, it's surprising that any good movies were made before this century. How did they manage to get anything done back then?
