Question About Alice

Ok, so one thing that's always bugged me is that during "June Bride", where all the girls get a solo line, Alice doesn't. I know she sings one line with only Liza, but she never sings on her own. I was wondering why that is.

Any ideas??

I always just assumed that the actress who played her, while a good dancer, couldn't sing well enough to warrant a solo. Who knows though. She was always my favorite so it bugged me that she didn't sing too!

Still, where did the lighter fluid come from?

The singing of some (many? all?) of the brides was dubbed, so that wouldn't have prevented a solo line from Alice.

I've been married to one Marxist and one Fascist, and neither one would take the garbage out.

Yes i always wondered why she didn't get a solo bit.Especially as all the brides except Jane Powell and Virginia Gibson were dubbed.

Yeah, it was a shame about that, I really liked Alice. I thought she & Gideon were the sweetest couple!
