Gideon smells Milly
Did anyone notice that Gideon sniffs Milly while Frank and Benjamin are fighting? haha XD
shareI doubt he'd smelled anyone, male or female, who had bathed in a lo-o-o-n-ng time. I'm assuming Milly had bathed before getting married; after all, she had spent several hours chopping wood, cooking, serving and fending off randy customers.
Plus, the house had dogs, chickens (and did I see a pig at one point?) walking around. Add the odor of animal manure of all kinds and at least one outhouse. Old movies never address how people go to the bathroom, so you just have to imagine seven slobs sharing a tiny lean-to!!
