i would have preferred it if the guys had always been with the same girls. there are several parts throughout the movie where they're mixed around. for example: the barn raising and when the guys are trying to catch the girls to take them back home.

again, i realize that this would have been unrealistic, but that's the way it was done in the play i saw and i think i prefer it that way.

Uh, you realize the film predated the stage version by many years, don't you?

I didn't at the time, but that fact doesn't change my opinion. I still think i would have preferred it if the individual couples had stayed together.

I was wondering about that. I couldn't keep track of who was paired with whom so it didn't bother me.
