How much time passed between the last two scenes?

So the pastor says, "I heard a baby crying. Whose was it?" and the girls all say "mine!" because in those days if a woman was pregnant, she'd better get married. And in the next scene, they all get married. So, how much time passed? Did they marry them right away because they were so eager? Or did they maybe wait until they made sure there was a place for each couple to live first? I think it would have made the most sense if the girls had gone back to town to live until the brothers built a few more houses, or at least several extra rooms.

I'd guess that it was right away, before word of a supposed out of wedlock birth could get back to town.

I believe they are kidnapped in October and rescued in June. If you listen closely to the "bride" song and think about the weather in thenorthern mountains this makes sense. So that is nearly 9 months.

Besides since the parson was there..

the ending makes no fucking sense.
