Since there is a long thread entitled "Cutest Brother???" I thought it would be worthwhile to start this thread. All six of these women are attractive, but my personal preference would be:
1. Ruth (Caleb's girl)
2. Liza (Ephraim's girl)
3. Dorcus (Benjamin's girl)
4. Alice (Gideon's girl)
5. Sarah (Frank's girl)
6. Martha (Daniel's girl)
#3 - Dorcus by far. Not even close. This is Julie Newmar - Catwoman of the Batman TV show in the 1960's. Better yet - Stupefyin'Jones in Lil Abner - a MUST see with a surprise cameo appearance by an entertainment immortal with her. Trust me.

Agree with every word. Newmar is womankind at it's mesmerizingly most beautiful. A perfect, perfect specimen whose Catwoman for me, remains the most voluptuos creature I've ever seen!!!
And Darkness and Decay and the Red Death held illimitable dominion over all.
I thought Martha was the prettiest,followed by Liza then Alice.Didn't think the other 3 were that pretty

I find it interesting that everyone forgets Milly. Even in the movie when the reverend hears a baby it does not occur to any of the townmen that it could possibly belong to Milly. I find that hilarious!
Who is the prettiest in my opinion? The one with Frank If you asked the most attractive then of course, Dorcas. Prettines is very different from attractiveness.

Ruta Lee as Ruth and Virginia Gibson as Liza are the prettiest.
Virginia Gibson is the most talented dancer (as highlighted in "June Bride") and was the only bride other than Jane Powell to do her own singing.
Last night at the dance, my little brother paid a buck to see your underwear.
Liza (Virginia Gibson)is tops for me too. I see why Dorcas (Julie Newmar)get most of the accolades. She's beautiful, sexy and 5'11" too. Ruth (Ruta Lee) and Sarah (Betty Carr) are probably 3rd and 4th in either order. Martha (Norma Doggett) and Alice(Nancy Kilgas) are the least attractive of all reasonably attractive brides.

I have to agree with everyone who voted for Dorcus first. She is easily the lovelieset. If I were to rank them, it would look like this:

and for not other reason than because I can, the men:

It's close between Adam and Benjamin. Funny, 'cause those are the two who don't dance. I do, think Gideon is pretty cute, too...and he CAN dance!
