Erroneous goof
IMDB regards the black flame soot on the company's new "plastic" as a scorch, thus indicating the material is not as indestructable as portrayed. However, the "plastic" shows no distortion from the flame. The black spot is clearly soot from the lighter and Bogey could easily have wiped the plate clean before reinserting it into the testing device.
