Does anyone have any info on Doe Avedon, who played Spalding the Stewardess? She looked like Geena Davis. There is no personal info on IMDB.

From her IMDB page she had only a handfull of movie and TV credits around the time of this movie then disapeared from the face of the Earth. Does anybody know anything about what happened to Doe Avedon? She was definately the hottest thin from THATM and had acting chops to boot.

Doe Avedon was a top model in New York and married top fashion photographer Richard Avedon in 1944, divorced him in 1949. She made some movies, married top notch director Don Siegel (Invasion of the Body Snatchers 1956) then settled down to raise a family. Still doing fine I've heard.
The movie "Funny face" was supposedly based on their story.
Doe Avedon passed away on December 18, 2011, at age 86.
Curiously, actor William Campbell, who played the cynical co-pilot and Doe's apparent love interest in the film, died earlier in 2011, on April 28, exactly three weeks after what would turn out to be Miss Avedon's last birthday.
