I've seen this movie many times before, but just now did I see that it's rated G. Now I know the rating system has changed over time, but nowadays, this would probably be PG-13.

The place I rented it from had it marked as "unrated."

I own the Creature Legacy Collection DVD set, and I was going through the advertising gallery on the disc, and if I'm not mistaken, I saw a picture of and original poster that recommended it for adult audiences.
