Blaring Trumpets

Does anyone know the term for the blaring, distorted trumpet music playing those three notes almost everytime the Creature appears? I think I saw the term in User Comments in IMDb but now I can't find it.

I believe they are called "stingers".

The flutter-tongue trumpet cue is most frequently titled 'The Creature Strikes' in most score recordings.
