Creature from the Black Lagoon: The Musical ! ! ! !

IT'S TRUE!!!!!!!! Universal's theme park in Hollywood has confirmed that in Spring 2009, a musical version of the movie will open, replacing the "Fear Factor live" show. A romantic/comedy stage show that will be filled with “state-of-the-art stagecraft, acrobatic choreography and hilarious, toe-tapping music.” NO JOKE.

The show was better than I expected. Universal launched it with a press day, with the cast answering questions after a preview performance, and Julie Adams was there.

I went opening day and had no idea what to expect. I was blown away by the stage design and was shocked at the suggestive humor but I liked it. Its unexpected and brought some fun to a tame story. Face it, The original is pretty tame, don't get me wrong, i'm a fan but its tame. The acrobatics were fabulous and the actors and vocals were phenomenal. You know, its not a story for everyone but give it a chance and have a open mind and you should like it!

i live in Florida, so i'm hoping they'll get rid of our Fear Factor Live and add this show to the Orlando resort park. thanks so much on expressing your opinions!!! all the ones i've read on google say it's horrible and also that half the audience left during the show!!! but if it's true that it's as campy as Rocky Horror (which I adore so much) then i can understand that.
