I know it is a comedy to we are allowed to take a break from reality. I'm just wondering why all the press and attention at some kid? The questions the press ask her are akin to a beauty contestant. Tell us now your solution for world hunger and world peace?
Outside of her own country which is fictional who cares? Being an American I don't think such people should even exist.
Look at the attention the British royal family gets even today. People in the early 1950s were far more enamored of royalty then, and Princess Ann would definitely be a major media figure because she's young, charming, beautiful, and of course still unmarried. Which in turn would have everyone wondering who she would eventually marry. Obviously, she didn't want the celebrity. but felt it was her duty to her country. That shyness would make her all the more appealing to the public.

So yeah, if anyone interviews the Duchess of Cambridge today, she's given celebrity softball questions about her kids and her charities, she isn't allowed to talk about politics, and nobody wants to her her try for Deep Thought.
