The technical specs say that it was filmed in color and there's a post commenting on what a great color print was shown on TCM, but COMET is showing it in B&W...WHY? Has the color print faded to a point that it's useless?

I noticed that mention of color, but I've never seen it in anything but B&W. I definitely would like to see a color version.

I'm not sure about this discrepancy. COMET seems to get rather good copies of films; some I've seen on COMET looked so much better than what I had seen in the past.

Wikipedia has this:

Riders to the Stars is a 1954 independently made American black and white science fiction film produced by Ivan Tors Productions and released by United Artists.

There's no mention of color.

However, TCM lists this:
Color/B&W: Color
