great movie!

this is only my second fuller film (the big red one being the first) i loved this one even more. the acting from widmark, witter and peters were terrific and fuller's use of closeups was really well done. one of my favorite noir films now. it's really aged well too.

the cinematography and close-ups alone are original; great film. Hard to get used to Peters' accent- but it was accurate- lol

Brilliant, I think this is my favourite Sam Fuller film.

He's a wounded wolf; now there will be a trail. He must be disposed of quickly. (Le Samouraï).

Have only recently seen this film.
Excellent noir and fine performances all round.
Peters' best role I think - suited her perfectly.

I can't find a thing wrong about this movie. Really an exceptional piece. And I like a happy ending in noir films occasionally. It's so unexpected.
