its a great noir thriller, but its pretty dated, they could remake this and make it really good using the casinos and Mints, and have a way better ending.

I just get fed up with suggestions of remakes.

99.9% are terrible. Poor acting by so called 'stars' & the story lines are changed so much they no longer resemble the original.

this film is brilliant. A remake would probably be substandard, although, if they had the right cast it might be good. Remakes are often dodgy. Nicole Kidman could probably do Rose, I think. She's the only one I can think of who would be as good as MArilyn.

Uh...I don't think so! No remakes!! And besides, Nicole Kidman could never hold a candle to MM. Please, no rail thin, non-acting, no lip/hip/butt having actresses trying to reprise this role! MM had a total package...She had a real female figure, with some flesh on it!!!

Yeah a remake would probably be rubbish.

BUT if were to happen, agree Nicole Kidman would be good as Polly. Or maybe Cate Blanchett.

Rose would have to be played by Scarlett Johannson. Be good to see her play a baddie.

The Joseph Cotton character...Christian Bale

scarlett johanseen is not the new marilyn monroe she is not goign near any of MM's original work they are nothign alike...

What a truly idiotic suggestion.

No movie needs to be re-made. A film is an original work and stands or falls on its own merits. This one is a very fine work indeed and still looks good in 2015.

I suppose you think they ought to re-paint the Mona Lisa as the current version looks old fashioned? Or perhaps someone ought to re-carve Michelangelo's David wearing jeans and a t-shirt. You know, bring it up to date. The existing one looks SO early 16th century.
