1. Does anyone know if there ever was a recolored print of this film? Because a friend of mine once claimed years ago that he saw this flick on video and it was in full color. He said that the xenomorphs were bright green and left a glittering yellow trace behind them.

That brings me to another question:

2. Has anyone ever seen a picture where the xenomorph is shown from head to toe? Because in the movie and in all behind-the-scenes footage and advertisement shots they always only show them from front and from the waist up. I also wonder about the audio commentary on the DVD where it is said that the back of the alien's head looks like a caul, but since we never saw the back of it's head, where did this information come from?

Don't recall ever seeing this in color transfer but it's possible when black and white was outcast years ago.

The information about the Xenomorph's features might be from production sketches, or from the folks who designed the creature. I *think* that in the original scenario the aliens were supposed to be more mobile, but the final design kind of precluded that.

The only full-on shot I remember from the film--and it's been years since I've seen it, so I'm probably wrong--is when the creature appears in the mouth of the abandoned mine.

Saw the commentary version on dvd and the narrator said that they were supposed to release a sepia tone that was never done. He also questioned Morey Amsterdam in the movie - guy sure looked like him very young but he couldn't verify that.
