Production Code mistake

It seems the Production Code has made a grave error and passed over one big part. In the scene where Gene Tierney throws water over the side of the ship, some hits the character of Lloyd Bridges. He can clearly be heard calling her a slut.

In those times, "slut" just meant "untidy housekeeper." This meaning persisted as late as the mid-20th century (in one of Barbara Pym's novels, a character says "I'm such a slut" because she hasn't done the dishes). In the movie, the woman is called a slut because she was sloppy about tossing the bucket of water. The "Production Code" had nothing to do with it, and there was no mistake.
