Electric blanket
Even when I saw this as a kid, I didn't see how an electric blanket could thaw out a block of ice that size in a matter minutes. And doing that without shorting out.
shareI never understood why the guard posted in the storeroom did not want that electric blanket wrapped around himself.They broke open some windows in order to keep it cold in that room & were in a severe blizzard.He could have covered up that block of ice with something else.
shareThe guard said he was all set, had on a "heat suit" (so didn't need a blanket). And as he was the change of guard, he didn't realize the blanket was still plugged in. My only gripe is why he never once looked over to the block of ice while sitting there all that time. He was engrossed in his book but still...seems only natural to look up once in awhile to check whatever/whomever you're supposed to be guarding.
