R.I.P. JAMES ARNESS

Watching a peaceful death of a human being reminds us of a falling star; one of a million lights in a vast sky that flares up for a brief moment only to disappear into the endless night forever.

R.I.P., big guy.

A man of dignity and grace.

Thanks For The Memories. God Bless you, and rest in peace.

I see you're a man of faith, and yet you hurl insults and hatred towards people who don't have the same beliefs as you (as far as movies go). Are you not aware that the God that you serve is one that encourages you to treat others with love and respect? Even if they've treated you poorly? In our case, I didn't even say anything personally directed at you, and if I did, you should have the sense to "Let it go" as the Lord always encourages. Yet you misconstrued it as a personal attack, and responded in an extremely hateful and childish manner.

Perhaps it's time you took a good hard look at your own ego and recognize how it's diverting you from fulfilling your Creator's purpose for you. Always remember: It's not about you.

I second all of the above posts. Arness: big guy, good actor, great American!

And let's not forget his iconic film status as 'Marshall Matt Dillon' on "Gunsmoke."
