The greatest line ever spoked in this film!!
You want some coffee?
shareThat's funny.
I like:
"In the greenhouse... the thing!"
No, but you can come in.
shareDef: spoked
1. To equip with spokes.
2. To impede (a wheel) by inserting a rod.
==========================================
Let us hope the OP meant "spoken" and doesn't actually think that's correct English usage!
Maybe he does think it's the correct way(i doubt it).
Who are you, and why do you think it's your job to point out poor grammar in a sarcastic way??
If you really care, send him a private message. Otherwise, you come across as a jerk.
I didn't catch any sarcasm, but this would have been a great time for it.

IOn fact, I say we march on Miriam-Webster St. and get this changed! What?
Somedays it's just not worth chewing through the restraints.share
"An intellectual carrot... The mind boggles!"
~~MystMoonstruck~~
--"Who will Truman ask when it gets to him?"
--"Margaret!"
Of course, today you have to know some history to appreciate that exchange! But in 1951 people got it right away.
[I also took the liberty of finally changing the thread title, after reading the argument about it above. Spoken, not spoked. It's speech, not a bicycle wheel. I don't see a problem with pointing out someone's honest mistake without getting all huffy about it. Now let's move on.]
"CLOSE THE DOOR!"
shareHave anybody else than me noticed that it's a very regular line in 50-60's horror? XD
sharewatch the skies.
as far as "you want some coffee?" - from Margaret Sheridan, i'd want anything she offers.
Not the greatest perhaps, but an interesting one.
At about the 45 minute mark, Dr. Carrington, in an attempt to reason with captain Hendry, says "He's a stranger in a strange land."
I don't know if anyone else knows this, but that very phrase was used as a book title by Robert A. Heinlein ten years after this film was made...1961.
Watta ya lookn here for?
"Maybe Dr. Carrington will ask it to crawl into a double boiler."
