The Thing looked lame to me.

I know this is a movie made in the early 50s but they could've actually made the Thing look like an Alien instead of just a normal guy walking around. They didn't even try to make it look inhuman at all.

Green Goblin is great! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t1L4ZuaVvaw

I think back in the day that did look inhuman to folks new to motion pictures.

The original description of the "Thing" from an earlier draft of the script, describes it as 8 ft tall: "It has a bulbous head, a tiny suck-hole for a mouth, multiple eyes, no ears. Its arms are extra-long, ending in thorny clusters, rather than hands." letter on the hand is described as:" The hand has ten stringy looking fingers, twice the human length. They are stiffened and resemble a slightly arced set of thin knives more than fingers." It was also Phosphorescent.

Too bad they didn't try to create the "Thing" more to the description in the early script.
