I went and saw this in a play version my senior year in high school

It was the beginning of my senior year and my theater teacher took us to see the play version of this at a community theater about an hour and a half away. As we walked in through the front door's of the theater, I noticed how big and beautiful the lobby was in it's orange, red and white decorations. It reminded me somewhat of a smaller bar room where Jack Nicholson talked to the bartender in The Shining. When it was time for us to go inside the play room, I noticed that we were the first ones there. Two other school's were suppose to join us but they never shown up so we ended up having the whole audience section to ourselves. The actor's were nothing short of professional. I couldn't believe how amazing they were for it to be a community theater. I remember once the guy playing Stanley threw the radio down the corridor where the entrance to the play room was and I remember sitting there wondering how they could have did that so many times without the prop radio breaking because he threw it with such force. They didn't act like a play, but they acted the way actor's do in movies. They really gave it their all. During intermission, we all went back out to the lobby and I saw one of my friends sitting on a booth that circled around a pole. When I went over and asked him what he was starring at, he said he wondered if he was old enough to pass for 21. It was then that I noticed he was looking at the bar lol. We went back in for the second half of the play and it really kept me on the edge of my seat. When it got close to the end of the play, they shown Stella and Blanche talking and one of which (I can't remember who) accidentally had a jewelry box slip from her lap and without missing a beat they both got on their knees picking it all up while continuing their lines as if it was a part of the play.

When the play was over, our bus driver drove us in front of a Wal-Mart so we could run in and get something to eat from the McDonald's they had in the back of the store. I remember seeing so many of the shoppers just watch while we all raced each other as fast as we could through the isles to see who could get to McDonald's first. We only meant to pick up the food and eat it on the bus and during our drive back the bus began to stall and we had to pull over. It was then that everyone's drinks began settling in and I remember most of the boy's telling the teacher they was about ready to get off the bus and pee in the field we were parked next too (joking of course). It was really one of the best days at school I had ever had. I would go back in a heartbeat and watch the play again.
