Is it possible to get the complete series?
I heard that the early prints had been destroyed. Does anyone know if the whole series would be available?

shareI have a 2 disc set with 3 hours total, which I found at walmart for a couple dollars. first time I have seen these, and they are so much like the 60's version, only a bit edgier.
There are several sets at Amazon with most of the episodes.
Thanks a lot, I'll check them out.
shareNo, it's not possible to get the complete series. There are approximately 60 episodes out there (of the original 276) for purchase from various sources. The rest? They're just not in circulation, period.
Supposedly Universal has all the episodes in their vaults. They claim there is no market for them and Universal has no interest themselves in reissuing them.
As I said, there's about 60 episodes total out there to purchase on DVD and VHS, but it can be expensive. For example, Shokus has some unique episodes on DVD-4 episodes per DVD at 14.99 plus shipping. There ae about six or seven episodes on VHS available from Moviecraft, two episodes per tape at $19.99. Both of these sources have some episodes unique to them that nobody else offers.
Some of the episodes offered by Shokus/Moviecraft are on the cheap DVD's so one has to know what to order to get the unique episodes they offer.
If you buy the dollar/cheap DVD's or look at the sets on Amazon, you will find they offer the same public domain episodes, there's about 25 or so that get offered over and over again.
It's difficult to determine exactly who offers what as many of these public domain/cheap sets have "made up" (not official) episode titles.
Also, go look on ioffer.com I bought a set of 56 episodes there a couple years ago (the seller lived in England and had them all marked as NTSC format and sold them as such, but they were all in PAL format and would not play on a standard U.S. DVD player.)
