Hitchcock is possibly my favourite director, and I love many of Billy Wilder's films. Witness for the Prosecution, Double Indemnity, and Sunset Blvd should be right up your ally if you like Hitchcock. If your looking for something very Hitchcockian though check out Stanley Donen's "Charade" and Akira Kurosawa's "High and Low"

If you're a fan of good movies, you'll like this with no problem.

Hitchcock LOVED Sunset Boulevard and Billy Wilder was Hitch's favorite American director! Hitchcock wanted Audrey Hepburn, William Holden and other Wilder actors for his films but contracts never worked out. Billy Wilder told him that it served him right because he REALLY wanted Cary Grant and never got him. Billy Wilder was 'born' creatively from the great early era of German film which Hitchcock was also into.

Billy Wilder was Polish... but yes, he directed American films.

Just watch the damned movie and decide for yourself.
